A Little Bit About Me …
My name is Bill Preece, also known in facebook world as Bill Board, this is a name that has stuck for a long time so it’s just easier to keep it. Regardless of all that I am a photographer now based on and enjoying The Atherton Tablelands of Far
North Queensland, Australia.
My passion for photography has grown into an obsession over the past 10 years, many of those years traveling the East coast of Australia taking photos. I love landscape photography, it gets me out into the quiet of the hills, the bush and forests, it is certainly the most relaxing type of photography. But very close
to my heart is anything that is a part of the Australian heritage, and times gone by, if I can remind people that a very different time has past but it gave us what we have today, I will be happy.
I like to tell a story with my photos where I can, but if not I hope to be able to create emotion and the feeling of ‘wanting to know more’ about the image. In general, whatever the feeling or emotion was that caused me to take the photo, comes through and is resurrected by the viewer.
So, why a website now I hear you ask … well, for a couple of reasons. I have had many people say ‘do you have a website where I can see some of your work’ and till now I have just referred people to Facebook. Then I have had a few people ask
if I have a ‘gallery’ with my photos for sale, but the answer was always no. But importantly for me, till now, I’ve had no way of reliving and displaying my past photography journey, my photographic history which I love. It’s good to be able to get some of the photos from my travels out again and through my Blog, tell the stories behind the images from the past whilst I take you with me with what I’m doing now, capturing the amazing Atherton Tablelands.
So regardless of why you have dropped in here, I sincerely thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy the photos.
